- If you’re new, try to arrive at least 20 minutes early for your first class.
- Wear something you feel comfortable sweating in: Jogbra/tank and shorts/leggings for women, running style shorts for men.
- If you have an injury, please talk to the instructor prior to class so that they can give you proper modifications.
DURING CLASS
- Do your best to be a good listener. The instructor does not demonstrate the postures so paying attention is the key to a great class.
- Expect to sweat a lot. Our studios are heated in order to warm up your body and stretch safely.
- Listen to your body. It’s normal to need to take breaks. If you have to leave the room, quietly let the teacher know. Take care to leave and return between postures so you don”t interrupt your fellow yoga practitioners.
AFTER CLASS
- There is a 2 minute guided meditation built in to the end of class, known as the final savasana. This is when your body begins to absorb the benefits from class.
- Rehydrate after class with water and additional natural or supplemental electrolytes. Eat a balanced snack or meal within 90 minutes of class.
- Bring a glass or bottle of water with you to bed, as your body continues to dehydrate as you sleep. Start your day with at least 8 ounces of water.

WHAT IS TRANSCENDENTAL MEDITATION?
The Transcendental Meditation (T M) technique is a simple, effortless technique for improving all areas of life. The technique is easily learned and is practiced sitting comförtably in a chair with the eyes closed for 15 to 20 minutes twice a day.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU MEDITATE?
During the TM practice, the active thinking mind settles down naturally to a state of “pure consciousness,” where the mind is silent yet fully alert. At the same time the body gains a protbund state of rest and relaxation.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THIS EXPERIENCE?
This unique state of “restful alertness” develops the total brain and eliminates accumulated stress and fatigue. This experience is the basis for the increased creativity and intelligence and improved health reported by people who practice the Transcendental Meditation technique.
